    The Department of Information Technology at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology held open presentations and examinations of several outstanding undergraduate graduation projects, submitted in fulfillment of the requirements for a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. The sessions were attended by faculty members, examination committees, and interested students.

    Among the projects presented was “Enhancing Criminal Investigations Using Artificial Intelligence,” supervised by Dr. Hakim Al-Maghbashi and examined by Dr. Marwan Al-Asali and Eng. Mohammed Sultan. The project proposes an intelligent, multimodal security system designed to support criminal decision-making by analyzing facial expressions and voice tone using deep-learning techniques. The system integrates the analytical results to generate an interactive indicator that assists investigators in objectively assessing stress levels and behavioral indicators of suspicion, while keeping the final decision with the human investigator.

    The department also examined “An Interactive Smart Educational Web Platform,” supervised by Dr. Bashir Al-Tayyar. The project seeks to develop an integrated e-learning environment that uses modern web and artificial intelligence technologies to provide courses, assessments, educational games, and digital certificates, while also analyzing learner performance and personalizing learning pathways according to individual needs. The examination committee, comprising Dr. Bashir Al-Tayyar, Dr. Sabri Al-Shaibani, Dr. Hakim Al-Maghbashi, and Eng. Aseel Al-Maamari, commended the project’s academic quality and its potential to support digital transformation in the education sector.

    In a related presentation, the department examined “An Online Platform for Digital Services,” also supervised by Dr. Bashir Al-Tayyar. The project aims to establish an integrated platform that brings together a range of digital services, including programming, design, and marketing, within a single digital environment. It enables users to manage all stages of project implementation, from submitting requests and contracting to final delivery, thereby helping entrepreneurs access digital services more efficiently and reliably.

    The examination committees noted that the projects demonstrate the advanced academic and practical skills of Information Technology students and their ability to harness emerging technologies and artificial intelligence to develop practical solutions that serve the community, respond to labor-market needs, and support the ongoing digital transformation.
