    The Academic Accreditation Council for Higher Education Quality Assurance concluded the Training and Qualification Program for External Reviewers of Higher Education Institutions and Academic Programs at Al-Janad University for Science and Technology. Hosted by the university over the course of a week, the program brought together university presidents, college deans, and academics from public and private higher education institutions across Yemen.

    The program was held under the auspices of Prof. Ameen Noman Al-Qadsi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the supervision of Prof. Sawsan Bakhubirah, Chair of the Academic Accreditation Council.

    Speaking at the closing ceremony, Prof. Mohyeddine Al-Qubati, President of Al-Janad University, said that hosting the program reflects the university's commitment to supporting the advancement of higher education and strengthening a culture of quality assurance and academic accreditation. He noted that developing the capacities of external reviewers is a key step toward improving educational outcomes and promoting institutional and academic excellence. He also praised the productive collaboration between the university and the Academic Accreditation Council, reaffirming Al-Janad University's commitment to continuing this partnership in support of higher education development in Yemen.

    For her part, Prof. Sawsan Bakhubirah, Chair of the Academic Accreditation Council for Higher Education Quality Assurance, explained that the program forms part of the Council's efforts to develop a pool of qualified national reviewers equipped with the knowledge and skills required to conduct external reviews in accordance with Yemen's national accreditation standards. She commended the participants for their strong engagement and commitment throughout the program and expressed appreciation to Al-Janad University for successfully hosting this important initiative, which contributes to strengthening quality assurance and academic accreditation across Yemen's higher education sector.

    The closing ceremony also featured the exchange of partnership and appreciation shields between the two institutions. The Academic Accreditation Council presented Al-Janad University with a Partnership Shield in recognition of its outstanding role in hosting the program and ensuring its success, while the university honored the Council with its own Partnership and Appreciation Shield in recognition of its continued efforts to promote quality assurance, academic accreditation, and institutional capacity building.

    The event concluded with the presentation of certificates of participation to the trainees in recognition of their commitment and active engagement throughout the program. Speakers reaffirmed the importance of continuing specialized training initiatives that strengthen the capabilities of higher education institutions and enhance their academic and administrative performance.
