The Information Technology at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at Al-Janad University for Science and Technology has launched the open defence sessions for graduation projects with the presentation of a project entitled “An Integrated Platform for Diabetes Care.”

The technology-based project aims to improve the quality of life for people living with diabetes while also helping non-diabetic users reduce the risk of developing the condition through a website and mobile application offering accessible and secure digital health services.

The platform incorporates a range of functions, including daily patient monitoring supported by analytical reports and graphical data displays, an emergency response system for health fluctuations, dietary and physical activity tracking, and medication management through reminder notifications for users.

The examination committee included Dr. Sabri Al-Shaibani, Head of the Information Technology and Cybersecurity Department and project supervisor; Dr. Basheer Al-Tayyar, Coordinator of the Information Technology Programme; Dr. Bilal Al-Samaei, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department; Dr. Marwan Al-Asali, Head of the Mechatronics Department; and Eng Mohammed Al-Haribi, faculty member.
