Civil Engineering Students Undertake Field Training in Finishing Quantities Estimation

Third-year students in the Department of Civil Engineering at Al-Janad University for Science and Technology have undertaken a practical field-based training exercise in quantity surveying, with a particular focus on the estimation of finishing works. The training was conducted under the supervision of Dr Mohammed Hael.

The initiative forms part of the department’s efforts to integrate theoretical instruction with practical application, and to strengthen students’ competencies in the accurate preparation and calculation of quantities in accordance with established engineering standards, thereby enhancing their readiness for professional practice.

Students engaged actively throughout the training and noted its importance in developing their technical skills and gaining direct field experience.
