The Department of Management Information Systems organized a field visit to the College of Open Education at University of Taiz as part of its ongoing efforts to link academic learning with real-world applications. The visit, held for fourth-year students, forms part of the department’s field training program designed to strengthen students’ professional competencies and prepare them for future careers.
Accompanied by Dr. Amgad Saeed, Head of the Management Information Systems Department, and Engineer Adeeb Al-Qirshi, the students explored the administrative processes and information systems used in higher education institutions. The visit offered them a first-hand understanding of the organizational environment and how management information systems are applied in modern administrative settings.
Dr. Saeed explained that these field visits are a key element of the department’s academic strategy, aiming to help students connect theoretical knowledge with practical experience. He emphasized that field training is an essential component of the learning process and a crucial step in developing workplace readiness.
The program also featured a discussion session with officials from the College of Open Education, providing a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss current challenges and opportunities in the field of Management Information Systems.
