Al-Janad University for Science and Technology kicked off celebrations today for the graduation of its fourth cohort, named “Winners,” coinciding with Yemen’s 63rd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution. The ceremony, held in a festive academic and patriotic atmosphere, honored graduates from the departments of Marketing Communication and Advertising, Management Information Systems, and English Language and Translation.
In his address, University President Prof. Mohyeddine Al-Qubati congratulated the graduates and their families, emphasizing the double significance of the occasion. “Today we celebrate the graduation of a new generation of our students at a moment that unites academic achievement with national pride. The joy of graduation intersects with the anniversary of the Yemeni revolution, which laid the foundations of the republic, knowledge, and freedom,” he said.
The event featured artistic performances by renowned Yemeni singer Bilal Al-Aghbari, who added a distinctive cultural touch to the celebration, along with a national operetta performed by a group of graduates—reflecting both their academic success and their patriotic spirit.
In a particularly moving moment, the university president honored student Ahmed Abdulrahman as an “inspiring success story.” Despite physical disability, Abdulrahman excelled academically and completed his studies with distinction. In recognition of his perseverance, the university awarded him the first postgraduate scholarship in the Master’s program of Marketing Communication and Advertising.
The ceremony concluded with awards for top-performing students, who received commemorative gifts and certificates of excellence, while all graduates were presented with certificates of recognition amid an atmosphere of pride and celebration.
Graduation festivities will continue throughout the week, with upcoming ceremonies dedicated to the remaining departments of the Faculty of Administrative and Human Sciences.
