Al-Janad University has organized an introductory workshop on Yemen’s National University Ranking Criteria as part of its broader efforts to strengthen academic quality and boost its position in national and international rankings.
The workshop, held under the theme “Quality and Ambition” and conducted under the auspices of University President Prof. Mohyeddine Al-Qubati, highlighted the role of rankings in improving higher education standards. Sessions covered four key areas: the importance of global ranking systems, criteria for Yemen’s national methods for completing required templates, and the calculation of performance indicators.
Led by Prof. Samir Othman Al-Asbahi, Dean of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center, the event drew strong participation from senior university leadership, including the president, secretary-general, dean of academic affairs, deans of colleges, directors, and department heads.
University officials stressed that the workshop reflects Al-Janad’s commitment to adopting rigorous quality standards and enhancing competitiveness, while preparing faculty and administrators to align with national accreditation requirements.
The session forms part of a series of training programs launched by the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and fostering a culture of quality in higher education.
