The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at the Faculty of Medical Sciences held two graduation project defenses for fourth-year students as part of the bachelor’s degree requirements, in the presence of faculty members and fellow students. The first project, “Evaluation of Bacterial Contamination in Drinking Ice in Taiz City, Yemen,” was supervised by Dr. Ayman Al-Qadsi and examined by Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, Head of the Department, and Dr. Shadi Al-Amri, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department. The second project, titled “Study of Platelet Indices, Fasting Blood Glucose, and HbA1c Levels in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus – Taiz, Yemen,” was supervised by Dr. Al-Alimi with examination led by Dr. Al-Amri and Mr. Al-Qudsi. These sessions underscore the department’s commitment to advancing scientific research, addressing real-world health issues, and developing students’ analytical and problem-solving skills.
