Medical Laboratories Department Organizes Free Medical Tests Event for Schoolgirls

 Medical Laboratories Department at faculty of Medical Sciences organized a health event entitled "Free tests and Blood Typing Awareness"through a field visit to the Ne'ama Rassam School.

The activity targeted third-year high school students at the school, which is part of a series of field visits to several main high schools in Taiz City.

The coordinator of the Laboratories Department, Ms. Adhwaa Al-Maqtari, indicated that these activities are part of the community service provided through the free healthcare service offered to the target groups. The activity aims to develop applied characteristics and improve students' skills in the practical aspect, to enhance the competitive advantage of students and prepare them before entering the labor market.

Meanwhile, the Laboratory Department team provided detailed information to the targeted students about the types of blood groups that can be donated and the compatible blood types for receiving donations. In addition, they conducted free screenings for 110 students today and informed them about their blood types. The activity will continue for four days, with multiple visits to several secondary schools in the city of Taiz.  .
